This poor, orphaned Karastan oriental rug from New Haven just found a warm, dry place to spend the night .…our climate controlled drying room.
One of my customers found this beauty on a sidewalk in New Haven with a “free” sign on it. I have heard that this is a great time (end of the Spring semester) to stroll around the Yale campus because students who live in distant states or countries find that it is cheaper to just give things away than it is to store or transport them (bikes, TVs, etc.) Well this was a great find.
Karastan oriental rugs are some of the finest machine made rugs on the planet. The colors are vibrant and the dyes never bleed. They are a great value. We gave it a good dusting (agitated the back of the rug to knock dry soils loose). Then we vacuumed both sides to get rid of the dog hair, and then went over it with a shampooing machine. Finally, we did an extraction process to suck all of the soil and shampoo out, and then hung it up to dry in our drying room.
