“Grooming” an oriental rug in Clinton CT
We just cleaned a couple of beautiful handmade oriental rugs for a customer in Clinton. Once the rugs are cleaned, it is very important to “groom” them before allowing them to dry. We brush all the pile down in the same direction. If a wool rug like this is allowed to dry without being properly groomed, the pile will end up going in different directions. It’s like what happens to your hair if you go to bed with wet hair.
