Otis is a very handsome and distinguished eleven- year- old English bulldog. Like most old English gentlemen, Otis has acquired a taste for the finer things in life. He truly appreciates fine, wool oriental rugs. Like most bulldogs, Otis drools a little. He has discovered that the wool rugs make excellent napkins. They are also great for rolling around on when he’s got an itchy back. After awhile, the rugs start to smell a little “Otisy.” Cheers Otis! One of my favorite Englishmen, Winston Churchill, rallied your countrymen in 1941 just before the bombs started dropping in World War II. He was speaking at the Harrow School in England and his advice to the students was “Never give in, Never give in…..never…..never….never give in.” Otis, I recommend that you take this advice. If you can’t scratch that itch, just keep rolling around on the expensive oriental rugs … a lot….never, never give in!
